As some of you may know, I will be moving out of state in the upcoming months, and need (not want) to clear out a large amount of the store inventory in addition to my own … as I will be downsizing considerably. My loss, your gain.

Why am I offering these practically free or uber cheap?
Firstly, to save me the headache & time consuming process of measuring, photographing, and describing each item. There are days worth of work within these boxes … and I just can’t find the time right now. Offering them like this, saves me from doing that workload — I’d charge more, but I know I’d hate spending alot on supplies sight unseen. Trust me though, these are all quality supplies that I either purchased to use myself, or sell in the store. The value of each box is over what you are paying.
I’d rather share these with folks who can provide a loving home than simply toss them away! Besides, I got my start thanks to some incredibly kind individuals who cut me a break, this is partially my way of giving that gift back. If i didn’t need to make back some of the cost on these, I would gift them.. sadly, I am not in that financial position right now.

Vintage Children’s Books Text Kits- No Fuss/ No Frill Text Kits! – same as what I carried in my store, but a heckuvalot more product for far less cash. All pages taken from fabulous vintage childrens books & readers…. it is a great variety! These are no frill kits however — they are not packaged in plastic, or backed with cardboard. You may receive some bent pages, you may receive some torn pages… but all are great for collage & mixed media-work. The text is jam-packed into Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes as is – they are bulging over, and weights are noted below. I stashed some aside for myself too. You get the same variety I was known for carrying — not just pounds from one book (boring!) -woot! Some pages are vintage, some a bit more modern (80s), a variety of fonts and styles and paper textures. Some pages have illustrations, some don’t — it’s a potluck that I think you’ll love.

I found your site when I googled “free fabric”. I didn’t see anything recent but wondered if you would keep me in mind if you get anything. I volunteer with the Michigan Animal Rescue League and am a foster mom for mostly kittens but also cats before they are ready to be adopted. Last April thru December I fostered 25 kittens, 4 were less than 2 days old when I got them, and 6 adult cats. I also make little quilts, 13″x19″, to put in the cages of kitties up for adoption. The quilt will goes home with the kitty and reduces their stress upon arriving in their new forever home. I try to stay with cottons but can use most anything except really fancy fabrics for them. This year I have already had 2 adults and 1 8 month old kitten and am gearing up for the kitten season. I would really appreciate it if you could let me know if you have any of the fabric boxes available. Thank you so much for your consideration. You do beautiful work.

Wendy, If you still need fabric, I would be glad to send a bunch if you are willing to pay postage. Have lots of cotton that I will gladly give away, but unfortunately I can’t cover shipping to every charity. You decide how much you want me to ship, flat rate box or what ever and I can do pay pal if you like. I am a machine quilter so if you need batting, can do that too as there is some left over that would certainly make your kitty pads. Just e me at needlewings (at) mac.com.
I found your site via a google search of collage tutorials and I saw you have several things for sale. I am interested in the Vintage Children’s Books Text Kits, if there are any left (I did notice the list hasn’t been updated since ’09).
